What is a Mass Intention?
ButtonA Mass intention is a specific purpose for which a priest offers a Mass, such as for the soul of a deceased person, for someone's health, or to celebrate a special occasion. This practice is a way to bring the needs and prayers of the faithful before God during the Eucharistic celebration.
Do Mass Intentions cost money?
ButtonWhile there is not a required fee for a Mass intention, it is suggested to donate $10 per Mass intention to support the church and its priests, helping cover the costs of materials needed for the Mass.
How do I request a Mass Intention?
ButtonContact the Parish Office at (605)796-4387 or place your intention in the collection basket at Mass.
Can I request a special date?
Yes, you can request a special date, but not every date is available. There may not be Mass that day or that day may have already been selected. Contact the parish office to learn what dates are available. It's best to get your special date requests in early.
